Penn State quarterback Kevin Newsome, who went from probable starter to the third team last season, has decided to transfer, recruiting website Lions247.com reported today. The decision by Newsome, a 6-2, 231-pound junior from Portsmouth, Va., became public on the day the Nittany Lions began preseason practice and left them thin at quarterback.
