Here are Nittany Extra’s Big Ten picks for Nov. 10.
Wisconsin (minus-7 ½) at Indiana, noon: The Hoosiers can tie the Badgers and keep their hopes alive to represent the Leaders Division in the Big Ten title game. Montee Ball will be too much for Indiana to handle.
Wisconsin 35, Indiana 20.
Northwestern (plus-9) at Michigan, noon: The Wildcats won on their visit to Ann Arbor; don’t count on it today. The Wolverines roll on offense, whether Denard Robinson plays or not.
Michigan 34, Northwestern 24.
Purdue (plus-5) at Iowa, noon: The Boilermakers have dropped five straight Big Ten games and might be playing for Danny Hope’s job. The Hawkeyes won’t have Mark Weisman again, but they might not need him.
Iowa 21, Purdue 14.
Minnesota (minus-3) at Illinois, 3:30: This is the Fighting Illini’s last chance to win this season. The Golden Gophers beat them for the third straight year.
Minnesota 23, Illinois 17.
Penn State (plus-8½) at Nebraska, 3:30: Wind will impact the game, which means the Cornhuskers keep it simple with their potent running game. The Nittany Lions can pull off the upset if they win the turnover battle.
Nebraska 31, Penn State 27.
Last week: 5-0 straight, 3-2 vs. spread.
Season: 23-8 straight, 13-18 vs. spread.
